In order to offer ever more efficient solutions, QMT started to develop standard equipment in 2007. These are intended for the following applications: quality control - sorting machine - watchmaking industry.
In order to efficiently carry out larger-scale projects and with significant technical challenges, a project-oriented structure has been set up. It is a major asset for Qualimatest.
During the years 2003 to 2006, QMT invests in its organization in order to define efficient processes for the development, deployment and maintenance of industrial systems. This organization enabled the quality certification of the company in 2003 and the creation of a strong competence center in project management.
Its rapid rise and its dynamism earned it, during 1995, the Credit Suisse Awards for technological innovation (Technologiestandort Schweiz).
QMT was founded in 1989 by a group of engineers specializing in materials, mechanics, measurement technology and IT. From its inception, QMT introduced digital imaging for microscopy. In 1991, QMT began a technological partnership with National Instruments for the development of its own facilities and developed Multimicro, a motorized image analyzer with automatic microhardness measurement.
