This environment allows you to develop, structure, execute test sequences and generate reports. Test sequences define the flow of test execution from start-up to report creation at the end of tests.

The test sequences can integrate software components from several other programming languages. The TestStand architecture provides the tools to customize the runtime environment.

Its high-speed, multithreaded execution engine controls the development and execution of the test solution sequences. The tool is therefore open and gives the possibility of connectivity with software and hardware components as needed.

TestStand is mainly used by the latter who are the end users. The objective of these users is to qualify / characterize a product in an R&D context or in a production context. In this case, the appropriate license that qmt can provide you with must be used to gain access to resources limited to your needs as a user: This aspect is important and has an impact on the cost of your licenses. The user masters the functional aspect of the product under tests (UUT: Unit Under Test or DUT: Device Under Test) and strongly contributes to specify the test solution that will be made available to him to execute the test protocols. The user has the ability to build his test sequences in TestStand according to the requirements of his test protocol. In this case, qmt develops and supplies the personalized tools (the Steps) which will allow the user to develop his own test sequences. qmt trains and supports the user so that he masters the “Steps” that he will then use to structure the test sequences making it possible to control the functionalities of the test solution according to the desired protocol.

The user does not have the ability to build his own test sequences. In this case, qmt develops the “Steps” and the test sequences according to the user's needs at the same time as the assembly of the test solution. According to the customer's request, qmt trains the user and provides him with support for the use of sequences or the design of new sequences.

The TestStand environment is integrated with our qmt platform with the ability to more quickly implement features such as custom HMIs, application processes, signal acquisition and generation, communication and report generation in the desired format.

Each feature can be developed independently and then used (Step type, parameter editing, etc.). This aspect is inherited from the coding and architecture rules defined by the qmt development teams for its software platform.
